2022 Spring Fling Clean Up

Residents can clean out the garage, spruce up the yard and discard of unwanted items in a nearby roll-off container during the Hot Springs Solid Waste Department’s annual citywide Spring Fling Cleanup, regardless of the weather, on Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24. City residents are encouraged to clean their neighborhoods, including nearby vacant lots, and dispose of items free of charge in the roll-off containers. The containers will be placed in all six city districts during the cleanup (see location list below). Large or bulky items can be placed next to the container if they are too heavy to lift. Hazardous waste, such as paint, cleaning fluids or batteries, is not accepted; however, Solid Waste will hold a free collection event for these materials on May 14, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Garland County Fairgrounds, 4831 Malvern Avenue.Brush should not be discarded at the roll-offs. Instead, schedule a CAPS pickup of such materials by calling 501-321-6921, or it can be taken to the Compost Facility, 318 Davidson Drive. Residents are also asked not to place electronic items in the roll-offs. Solid Waste Hauler Permits

Under Act 752 of 1991, the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Management Board is required by law to enact and enforce a licensing program for all haulers who collect or transport solid waste in the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Management District.

By January 1, of each year all current haulers subject to this program will be required to pay a minimum license fee which is initially set annually as follows in the Memo and application.

2021 Spring Fling Cleanup

The Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Management District is hereby soliciting sealed proposals to provide Electronic Waste Disposal Services.  Sealed proposals will be received by the Office of Administrator until _4:30__ PM CT, April 15, 2021.  Proposals will be received only at the West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc. at the address shown below.

Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the specifications.
